BROWNING.COM 34 INFLEX RECOIL PAD The Inflex recoil pad features internal directional ribs that move the comb down and away from the cheek to increase shooting comfort. TOP-TANG SAFETY The top-tang safety is easy to operate with the thumb. It blocks the trigger sear and features a firing pin block for added security. FEATHER TRIGGER The three-lever Feather Trigger provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep, minimal overtravel and is adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs. (Factory pre-set at approximately 3-1/2 to 4 lbs.) The alloy trigger housing contains hard chromed steel components that are highly polished on all critical contact surfaces. ADJUSTABLE COMB Certain models feature an adjustable comb system that offers up to 1" of height adjustment to place the shooter’s eye in alignment with large diameter optics. X-LOCK SCOPE MOUNTING SYSTEM X-Lock mounts feature a four screws-per-base design that replaces the traditional two screw system to offer more accurate placement and more secure attachment to the receiver. FREE-FLOATING BARREL Every X-Bolt action is bedded into the stock at the front and rear action screws and recoil lug for a true free-floating barrel. Barrels are button rifled and triple checked for interior finish, straightness and air-gauged for uniformity. Every chamber is hand-reamed for precision accuracy and a recessed muzzle crown helps protect the rifling from damage. MUZZLE BRAKE Many X-Bolt rifles feature a removable muzzle brake. The Recoil Hawg, Sporter Recoil Hawg, and Competition Recoil Hawg muzzle brakes are engineered to significantly reduce muzzle jump and felt recoil. The Recoil Hawg is designed to fit larger diameter target and long-range profile barrels. The Sporter Recoil Hawg is tailored specifically for smaller diameter, sporter profile barrels The new Competition Recoil Hawg utilizes tunable top ports to customize muzzle rise mitigation. All models reduce felt recoil by as much as 76%, depending on the caliber. Radial-style muzzle brakes on some X-Bolt rifles also reduce felt recoil and can be easily upgraded to a Recoil Hawg by the consumer. A thread protector is included with most hunting model rifles. 60° BOLT LIFT Short 60˚bolt lift is fast cycling and allows the hand to easily clear scope turrets. The bolt body is machined from solid steel bar stock for strength and custom rifle precision and has three locking lugs providing exceptional bolt strength. ROTARY MAGAZINE The rotary magazine is removable, durable, easy to load and feeds rounds from the center line, not off to the side like other rifles, for straight to the chamber feeds.
